A FRAGILE PIECE OF CHINA ABROAD |  DOCUMENTARY | 93 MIN

In search of happiness, success and longevity they spread and became ‘fortune cookers’. Chinese restaurants have become part of our architectural heritage, and Oriental dishes are now part of our every day food consumption. But socially Chinese communities are still secluded, their stories hidden behind their busy work ethic.

‘Chopstick Conversations’ is an intimate insight on the human condition behind the Chinese restaurant façade. In this film Chinese food culture is a medium to open communication and penetrate into the ‘internal cuisine’; to ‘chopstick converse’.

This documentary reveals a point of view from three generations, packed as an existential ‘drama’ about the troubles and concerns in the most extensive diaspora of all times; a ticket of porcelain faith.
